Optetrak® is a comprehensive total knee system that builds on a concept developed at the Hospital for Special Surgery. Its design has evolved for more than 25 years with excellent clinical results. Optetrak addresses your concerns for contact stress, patellar tracking, polyethylene wear, joint stability and bone preservation with streamlined instrumentation that lets you work quickly and efficiently.

 
Optetrak Cruciate Retaining
  1. Cruciate retaining femoral components are available in both porous-coated and non-porous options. Debulked anterior femoral flange reduces tension in lateral retinaculum and incidence of lateral release
  2. Femoral/tibial articular congruency of 0.96 reduces contact stress, improving polyethylene wear
  3. Wide patellar groove (superior region only) provides less constraint to allow for excellent patellar tracking, and rounded corners reduce medial side overhang. Spherical, all-polyethylene patellar component allows for interchangeability and high congruence throughout range of motion. Available in either three-peg or single-peg fixation options
  4. Tibial trays are available in modular or all-polyethylene designs. Modular trays are available in cemented fin, porous fin or cemented trapezoidal options. Both cemented types have undercut cement pockets for optimal fixation, while the porous tray will accept cancellous bone screws. Tibial up-sizing/down-sizing capability allows optimal bone coverage while maintaining the same excellent congruency regardless of sizing combinations. The femoral component and the polyethylene insert are a matched pair, with three interchangeable tibial trays to choose from for each femoral size
  5. Tibial insert locking mechanism includes three design features that keep polyethylene inserts in place, minimizing the potential for backside wear. A continuous peripheral rim around the tibial tray, posterior feet that couple with precision undercuts in the tray and a central mushroom provide a barrier to insert motion and prevent lift-off
  6. Net compression molded polyethylene results in less wear debris and less pitting than machined tibial inserts
