Features & Benefits
Features & Benefits of Optecure® & Optecure®+ccc
- Osteoinductive*
- Osteoconductive
- Osteogenic when mixed with blood or ABG
- Always formable
- Resists migration from graft site
- Each lot tested for sterility
- DBM tested in-vivo for osteoinductivity
- Delivered and stored dry to maintain the bioactivity of the DBM
- Concentration studies prove optimal new bone forming potential1
- Can be mixed one-to-one with autogenous bone
- Hydrophilic carrier with potential to absorb and retain autogenous growth factors
- Mix with different volumes and different diluents to create indication-specific handling requirements
Constituents
1) Demineralized Bone Matrix (DBM)
- Optimal 81 percent concentration of DBM by dry weight1
- Each lot tested for sterility
- Each lot tested in-vivo for proven OI potential
2) Cortical Cancellous Bone Chips
- 1-3.3mm size range
- Densely packed for mechanical load sharing
- Gamma Irradiated
3) Resorbable Hydrogel Carrier
- Intra-operative flexibility to craft handling characteristics
- Resistant to migration from graft site
- Ethylene Oxide sterilized
Surgical Indications
Optecure’s cleared indications include use as a bone graft extender in the extremities, spine and pelvis or used alone as a bone void filler in extremities and pelvis.
