GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Jan 25, 2010 -- Exactech Inc. (Nasdaq: EXAC), a developer and producer of bone and joint restoration products for hip, knee, shoulder, spine and biologic materials, announced today that the company has committed more than $100,000 to fund research and residency enhancement grants and contribute to post-graduate fellowship grants through OREF’s Clinician Development Program (CDP). Exactech has directed its support for fellowship grants to the areas of adult reconstruction, foot and ankle, and shoulder and elbow.

An OREF Corporate Associate since 2001, Exactech’s support for OREF’s CDP affirms its commitment to quality of orthopaedic care, quality of life, and integrity in all its dealings. OREF’s Clinician Development Program is an independent grant-making system free of donor bias that facilitates industry support for orthopaedic education and research while maintaining compliance with best practices. The program was reviewed and approved by three U.S. Department of Justice monitors assigned to device manufacturers by federal mandate.
