Minimum Requirements for Fulfilling Team Role

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Three to four years inventory management and/or Distribution experience required.  Additional education may be substituted for experience.
• Three years customer service related experience required.
• Knowledge of the orthopedic industry and experience with medical devices and/or instruments is preferred.

Other

• Excellent organization, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Problem solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to handle several projects simultaneously.
• Working knowledge of windows based office productivity tools including word processor and spreadsheets.
• Ability to provide on-call services, when required
• Valid Florida Drivers License with acceptable driving record

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To


1. Receive, evaluate, and process customer instrument orders for loaners and consignment.
2. Perform loaner management functions, including, but not limited to, maintaining par levels, tracking instruments loaned, and assuring that the instruments loaned follow the required procedures of sterilization.
3. Provide technical assistance for instrument and implant product systems and orders for internal and external customers.
4. Initiate the processing of those instruments that do not satisfy the quality standards (Non-Conforming instruments).   Refer complaints of service or product failure to appropriate departments. 
5. Perform inventory control functions including, but not limited to, inventory counting and reconciliation; organizing, counting, verifying, and stocking new instruments; and support with product rollouts.
6. Build and prepare instrument sets for inclusion into the loaner program control system.
7. Perform minor repairs on instruments and provide disposition of obsolete or worn instrumentation in accordance with established procedures.
8. Understand and follow all departmental SOP’s.  Document and report any process deviations to team leader.
9. Understand and comply with all departmental safety policies and procedures.
10. Perform all functions of Loaner Tech I as necessary and provide training for Loaner Instrument Technician I.
11. Provide on call services as necessary.
12. Know and apply the Quality System and any appropriate Federal and International standards.
13. Assist and support other employees, teams, and sales personnel as necessary.
