Minimum Requirements for Fulfilling Team Role

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equilavent; MBA preferred

Experience

  • Minimum of six years in the orthopaedic sales and marketing industry

Other

  • Ability to use all Microsoft applications
  • Proficient in English, French and Italian; Spanish and German preferred

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

  1. Formulate and document marketing/sales plan in collaboration with foreign distributor for assigned market, with measurement systems in place; propose marketing strategy for upcoming year through data analysis and identification of problems and opportunities in foreign markets; participate in forecast and budgetary process.
  2. Implement approved tactical plans to achieve objectives and goals in each country.
  3. Work with foreign distributors in developing overall advertising and promotional theme appropriate for respective foreign market.  Provide distributor with materials to create ads and promotional pieces.
  4. Maintain expense budget integrity.  Duties include annual expense budget planning and monthly monitoring.
  5. Work with the Market Research department to gather and analyze international market research data utilizing published studies, focus panels, personal interviews with foreign distributors and surgeons, etc.
  6. Monitor progression of international business plan to meet sales targets; analyze trends in foreign markets; recommend adjustments and changes in sales plans of foreign distributors as dictated by trend analysis.
  7. Build rapport, communicate and interact with foreign surgeons.  Keep abreast of attitudes toward all Exactech’s global product lines and opportunities for new product designs.
  8. Coordinate visits of overseas surgeons to international clinics, companies, meetings, etc. to educate and promote Exactech’s products.  Coordinate inter-company activities for meetings, exhibits, etc.
  9. Participate in assigned international trade shows, conferences, workshops, sales training, etc.
  10. Participate with product teams in long range planning of new product introductions.  Responsible for managing all aspects of pre-launch projects for new products and product updates in international markets. 
  11. Participate in establishment of dollar and unit sales objectives and market share benchmarks in order to monitor new product achievements post-launch in international markets.
  12. Work within the Project Management system to develop new products required for specific international needs.
  13. International overnight travel (40-50%) by land and/or air.
  14. Comply with all Exactech’s safety policies, practices and procedures.  Report all unsafe activities to supervisors and/or Safety Manager.
  15. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  16. Responsible for implementation of the Exactech’s quality system as it applies to the specific activities being performed.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned.
