Minimum Requirements for Fulfilling Team Role

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

  • Three to five years of experience as a machinist
  • Ability to understand CNC programs
  • Ability to write simple CNC programs
  • Working knowledge of CNC and manual equipment

Other

  • Knowledge of inspection procedures and use of inspection equipment
  • Own necessary inspection equipment
  • Understanding of geometric tolerancing
  • Understanding and interpretation of SPC

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

  1. Setup and operate CNC and manual equipment.
  2. Train novice personnel on CNC equipment.
  3. Troubleshoot and adjust CNC programs when necessary.
  4. Build tooling when necessary.
  5. Ability to insure proper inspection setups to meet quality standards (self-inspection required).
  6. Train novice personnel in proper use of inspection equipment.
  7. Understand and follow all departmental SOPs. Document and report any process deviations to team leader. 
  8. Understand and comply with all department safety policies and procedures.
  9. Know and apply the Quality System and any appropriate Federal and International standards.
  10. Assist and support other employees, teams, and sales personnel as necessary.
