Cemex® Gun Sterilization and Maintenance Instructions
Sterilization: The device must be sterilized following a proper cleaning and a validated steam sterilization procedure which foresees a pre-vacuum cycle. Tecres recommends the cycles below:
| Temperature (°C) | Pressure (ATM) | Minimum Holding Time |
|---|---|---|
| 121°C | 1 atm | 15 min |
| 134°C | 2 atm | 4 min |
Maintenance after use: Prior to first sterilization and in order to eliminate any residue after use, the device must be cleaned with detergent diluted in water having a pH between 6 and 8 at room temperature. Rinse repeatedly in water to eliminate any trace of detergent. For the final rinse, use sterile water for injectable preparations and dry immediately.
Shock absorber (U) is a removable component of the device; therefore, it is advisable to disassemble in the cleaning operation.
Caution: detergent or disinfectant substances containing chlorine, iodine acids, alkalis and mercury may damage the device.
